Decorating Your Living Room
Author: Clockers
Is your living room looking a little bare? Notice an echo whenever you talk or make noise in there? It’s time to add a little style to your favorite living space! Yes, I said your favorite living space because with a little paint, furniture, lighting, and wall accessories there’s no reason your living room shouldn’t have the best seats in the house.
To get started, think about paint. If your living room is painted that boring off white common to most houses, try a bold color with a soft tone, like sea green or sky blue. Next you will want to think about furniture to compliment your new color. If you’re on a budget, cover your old furniture with slips or duvets. For lighting, a living room shouldn’t have a central lighting fixture, but rather should be lit with lamps or wall sconces scattered about the room, giving it a more relaxing appeal. For the wall, consider a few pictures framed with your favorite art, a decorative wall clock, or even a rug. Taking these steps with a little of your own artistic style mixed in should give you a warm and inviting living space which will fast become your favorite.
